As Christians, we are called to become Disciples of Jesus. Discipleship is the process of embracing the life and ethic of Jesus Christ because of the hope laid out in the Gospel.
St. Paul implores us Christians to…. “not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
At St. Margaret’s, we offer opportunities for study and sharing in groups so that everyone can be helped in their discipleship no matter where they are along their journey of discovery. We regularly join with brothers and sisters from St. Marks’s (Basford), St. Andrew’s (Porthill) and St. Barnabas (Bradwell) so as to enrich the experience of study and increase and vary our resources to deliver programmes.
Currently we are running a READING CIRCLE which is reading through ‘LEARNING TO DREAM AGAIN’ by Samuel Wells. This group meets in St. Mark’s – Basford at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month.
